Co-curated by two musicians of the Santa Fe Opera, Grace Browning (harpist) and Patricia Zuber (flutist) began organizing pop-up concerts eight years ago in this intimate, historic space with local and visiting artists featuring repertoire of their own choosing, volunteering their performances to raise funds and awareness for the ongoing restoration of the 400-year-old chapel. Now a 10-concert series of nearly 40 annual artists, each group of musicians presents a unique, one-hour interactive performances with a story and entry point to connect with audiences on a deeper level, followed by a modest, complimentary reception following the concert sponsored by the neighboring pizza joint. Our fundamental work is to create welcoming, engaging spaces for classical music to serve as a means for connection in the community, offering artists an outlet to create new musical experiences while honoring the legacy of this historic venue.
