To produce and present CHANGES, an original stage play written by Tylyer "T" Lang and performed entirely by Howard University students, at The Tank Theatre in New York City in March 2026. This student-led production tells the story of Huey, a young man awaiting his college acceptance letter, whose world shifts when his estranged father returns and his friendships are tested. Through this coming-of-age story, the play explores personal growth, responsibility, generational cycles, and the Black experience. As a fully student-driven initiative, the project provides meaningful educational and leadership opportunities, allowing students to manage all aspects of production, from budgeting and fundraising to creative direction and stagecraft. To make this historic Howard University premiere possible, we rely on community support and funding to cover travel, accommodations, venue, set, costumes, and technical production costs, ensuring that emerging student artists can share their work on a New York City stage.
