Chicago Teen Composers Studio is a free 4-week program empowering young composers ages 15-18 to write original music. Students work directly with professional composers and musicians, writing a new piece for a trio ensemble, culminating in a public concert. This program gives students material for future college applications; it also gives students the rare experience of hearing their own music performed live by professionals, an experience that builds a lasting confidence no matter what their musical future holds.
