Cicadas follows Matt Nixon, a high school graduate who must reckon with his imminent future. Stuck in a small town, all of his friends prepare to leave him for their college adventures. Faced with either staying, living in the city with his childhood friend, or joining the Marines, Matt must decide the direction he wants to take the rest of his life.
