A Calling - A Short Narrative Film How will you answer? When faced with extraordinary events, how do we react? In the wee hours of a September night in 1969 the peaceful slumber of four households is broken by ringing telephones, and the unrest of a community roiled by change envelops Gina, Wilma, Charlie and Walter. Neighbors betray neighbors and long-term relationships are shattered as friendship is replaced with animosity and distrust. Set in a small town in Southern Georgia during the struggle for school desegregation, we see the personal toll exacted as social norms in place for over 100 years are upended by government mandate. The decisions made by Gina, Wilma, Charlie and Walter will change their lives forever. A Calling is an official selection of the Culver City Film Festival. Click here for PRESS KIT
