Please Help Us Raise $15,000 for CircusAid's 2024 projects working with displaced persons in Europe

Since 2015, CircusAid has engaged over 5000 Afghan, Syrian, Iraqi, Sudanese, Eritrean, Ethiopian and Indonesian political and environmental refugees in social circus programs located in Greece, France and Indonesia.

Our Commitment:

  • Increase health outcomes for political and environmental displaced persons.

  • Build resilience, mental health and community connection through engagement in occupational therapy informed circus arts programs.

  • Teach transferable life skills while increasing mental, physical, social and emotional health outcomes to promote greater success in unstable physical and socio-political environments.

Our Actions:

CircusAid collaborates with local organizations to deliver programs that promote physical, cognitive, social and emotional capacity building using a variety of circus disciplines.

CircusAid activities are grounded in evidence-based practices developed through occupational therapy and social circus research and expertise.

Our Outcomes:

Participants have reported increased levels of happiness, motivation, self-confidence, better sleep and improved connections to their communities.

"My experience joining CircusAid was so much fun. It's not only because of the games [and] activities we've done, but also there are values in every activity that teach me how to [be] self -directed, network and [be] together with friends, how to trust others and have fun as well. I'm glad to have opportunity to join CircusAid "---Lia, Harapan Baru

Why support CircusAid?

Our model is based on creating long-lasting impacts by coordinating with locals, conducting needs assessments, delivering direct services, training trainers, donating equipment, conducting program evaluations and sharing outcomes with educators and students within the occupational therapy and community health sectors. This way we make the most out of the support provided by our donors.
