Civic Lives Project is a multimedia storytelling and public humanities initiative that explores how contact with the criminal legal system shapes civic identity and democratic participation. Grounded in the Bronx, the project combines research and narrative storytelling to amplify the voices of justice-impacted individuals navigating housing, courts, and public institutions. Through audio, writing, and education, Civic Lives makes lived experience central to our understanding of democracy.
