Climate Control is a contemporary art gallery founded in San Francisco in 2023, dedicated to presenting emerging artists from the Bay Area and international contemporary art communities. We champion work that is curatorially rigorous, community-rooted, and accessible to new audiences.
Over two and a half years, we have built a distinctive exhibition program — including participation in Paris Internationale 2025, a solo presentation during SF Art Week 2025, and our 2025 Fall/Winter program The Rolling Format, which brought together artists Ishan Clemenco, Felisa Nguyen & Ching-Wei Wang, and Léonie Guyer & Việt Lê in a continuous, overlapping exhibition model documented in a January 2026 publication.
We are now relocating to a new home in San Francisco's Financial District and Chinatown corridor — a neighborhood undergoing genuine cultural renewal, with an emerging cluster of contemporary galleries and arts organizations actively building a new cultural presence Downtown. Our inaugural 12-month program at the new space will feature four rotating exhibitions with free public openings, artist talks, and community events designed to bring new and diverse audiences into contact with contemporary art.
Your support helps fund the buildout of our new home and the exhibition program that will follow — ensuring that serious, community-rooted contemporary art has a permanent presence in Downtown San Francisco.
