About

About

Climate House LA offers climate-relevant arts and cultural experiences, serving as LA’s Climate Museum. By harnessing the transformative power of experiential art, Climate House seeks to cultivate climate literacy and mobilize meaningful climate action.

Climate House is run by an interdisciplinary team of climate policy strategists, artists, movement builders, storytellers, and researchers.

Vision

Climate House will serve as a communal space for interdisciplinary, creative collaboration, learning and doing in response to the climate crisis.

Through its immersive, research-based arts and cultural programming, Climate House seeks to create “aha” moments  — making often abstract, intersecting topics more real, captivating, and approachable while bringing actionable solutions into focus.

Recognizing climate change as a threat multiplier and its social impact variable, Climate House productions will showcase short and long-term pathways to drive equitable solutions to the climate crisis.

Values

Our work is guided by these values:
  • artists’ voices are important in shaping society;
  • communal spaces invite creative expression and dialogue;
  • immersive, research-based arts exhibitions can make solutions approachable and digestible; and
  • global warming impacts every aspect of life on the planet, calling for comprehensive, just, responsible, and urgent solutions across issue areas and disciplines — in other words, climate action is a need-to-do, not a nice-to-do, and every policy is a climate policy.
