Mount Sinai Concerts for Patients is a series of baroque chamber music concerts at the Mount Sinai Guggenheim Atrium. The sound of music played in the atrium reaches all patient floors above. These concerts are always free and open to all in the hopes of bringing comfort and beauty to the patients of Mount Sinai Hospital, and to honor the doctors and nurses who give so much to the people of New York City. The Mount Sinai Concerts were created by Nadir Aslam and Kristin Olson after the two of them went through surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital for a recurring lung condition. Both of them realized that music was instrumental during their recovery and they decided to use their musical gifts to bring music to patients.
