Production is Wrapped!


Big thank you to our supporters as CR8:BLK Foundation received our first donation towards the short film project Vámonos! CR8:BLK Studios founder Rebekah Ofori wrapped production for Vámonos this past weekend. Check out a sneak peek of the film and project here.

Donations to Vámonos go toward post-production expenses including sound editing and color correction. Donations will be used to help with film festival submissions fees and travel. In addition, CR8:BLK Studios will be developing a pop-up micro cinema to screen this film and other films later year as apart of the community impact initiative.

Community Impact: Apprenticeship and Community Connection
“Vámonos”, a short film written by Rebekah Ofori—founder of CR8:BLK Studios—will be filmed on location in Cartagena, Colombia. The production is a collaborative effort united by a shared mission: to elevate Afro-Indigenous storytelling, empower women , and champion inclusive, transformative filmmaking practices.

Vámonos Synopsis and Challenging Stereotypes
With her wedding to José fast approaching, Rosa resigns herself to the life her family has chosen for her. But when she crosses paths with a mysterious stranger, her understanding of love—and of Cartagena—begins to shift in unexpected and beautiful ways. The film challenges stereotypes about Afro-Indigenous communities in Colombia.
