Our mission is to create vibrant, engaging and meaningful performances that bring to life the incredible legacy of big band & jazz music. Through a variety of public & private partnerships, we aim to support the artistry of our musicians and bring joy to our communities through great music.
When you support our mission with a one-time or recurring donation, you help us make the following possible:
- Performance opportunities & internships for students
- Production costs associated with producing live theatre, dance & music engagements
- Sustaining the legacy of big band & jazz music by helping offset the cost of performances & rehearsals
- Artistic & creative music video collaborations like:
- Live at Mixolydian - Studio sessions featuring individual musicians & fresh takes on a variety of musical genres
- Moondance - artistic collaboration with Jacksonville University Dancers & G Morgan Choreography that tells the story of true love through time, music and movement.
- Almost Like Being in Love - collaboration with Amelia Island Dance Festival and Dancelook
- Fever- Modern yet classic interpretation of a jazz standard taking place in one of America's oldest saloon establishments (The Palace Saloon, Fernandina Beach Fl.)
Currently, we are seeking to raise funds for:
- Themed & Holiday Show Productions
- Examples include: "How the Big Band Stole Christmas" and "Red White & Swing"
- Amelia Island & Jacksonville Dance Series
- Venue Rental Spaces
- Production Expenses, Rehearsals, Choreography
- Student internship & performance opportunities
- Additional custom music arrangements
