Costa’s choreography utilizes structured improvisation, alongside an athletic and highly physicalized movement vocabulary. Inspiration is drawn from landscape design, natural wonders and architecture as a reference point for spacing, direction, and pathway. Every dance focuses on an authentic approach to movement that reflects a unique physicality and articulation relatable to the concepts and research behind the work, as well as the individuals taking part in the process.
