Dimensional Dance is one of the few companies that collaborates with hip hop and ballet dancers to create pieces and programs to educate and inspire audiences through dance. Even in these times, we should not underestimate the strength and power of art to uplift individuals and communities.
For the 2022 season we seek donors to help us perform our racial justice ballet and hip hop program Whole Souled Women: The Story of Prudence Crandall and Sarah Harris. Set in the 1830s, this program incorporates hip hop, contemporary dance, and ballet to tell the fascinating story of Prudence Crandall, a Connecticut educator, and Sarah Harris, one of her first Black students. These brave women risked their lives to challenge the status quo of educational discrimination.
We are grateful for your donations to continue our mission to educate through and about dance! Can we count on you to donate for our upcoming season? Click on the link above to donate.
