This untitled documentary video project will present an overview of the rise of Japanese Americans in U.S. politics in the 1960s to the present-day decline in prominence, even amid the growing presence of Asian Americans overall in public office. Through stories and historical accounts, the video will share a nonpartisan approach to the challenges and possible solutions related to Japanese American civic and political empowerment and engagement.
