About

DOEprojekts invites artists, artist groups, and other professionals, to participate, collaborate and interact with installations and performative works that use cultural Coreforms and Keywords as points of departure.

DOEprojekts was founded by artist Deborah Adams Doering in 2010. In 2013, Glenn N. Doering became Deborah's full-time creative partner.
"DOE" is a surname that is often used by English-speaking people as a placeholder. It denotes "everyperson," which indicates individuality as well as invites an open community collaborative effort. Participants in DOEprojekts, groups and individuals, are listed by name.
In 2013, DOEprojekts initiated “What I Want to Say: Coreforms and Keywords” at Chicago’s 23 East Madison Street, a Loop Alliance Gallery Space. Artists included Kathryn Trumbull Fimreite (Chicago), Denise Laurin-Donatelle (New York City), and KAP artists (Cebo Mvubu, Veronica Betani, and assistants) from the Keiskamma Art Project -- KAP -- in Hamburg, South Africa.
In 2012, DOEprojekts and KAP Artists collaborated on “JUST US AT WORK” at the Amtsgericht, (Offices of Justice) in Kassel, Germany, from June 1 - Sept 10. In 2010, DOEprojekts collaborated with KAP on two tapestry works and a series of prints, and laid the foundations for the “JUST US AT WORK” project.
In 2011, DOEprojekts collaborated on the event “Blue Plate Special,” highlighting local food production, with Archeworks’ Mobile Food Collective, participants at the 2012 Venice Biennale. "Blue Plate Special" was held at the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, and was part of Deborah Doering’s installation “Eye Eat Too.”
