We're a group of independent theater artists working on a site-specific Shakespeare performance project in Brooklyn. We aim to adapt Shakespeare's works for intimate spaces, creating an immersive narrative experience for small audiences of 10-15.
We’re drawing inspiration from non-theatrical models such as SoFar Sounds (A Midsummer Night’s Dream like a tiny desk concert in a living room), Airbnb Experiences (a Titus Andronicus that revolves around three women baking a pie for the audience), hidden speakeasies (a history play in a bunker-like basement where everyone can drink whiskey - or soda - and relive the war), and exclusive invite-only dinner parties (Macbeth around a dining room table with take-out).
