DownEast New Music will bring dynamic young performers to DownEast Maine for exciting, high-level performances of contemporary chamber music. Building on the region's existing enthusiasm for classical music and contemporary art, we hope to expand audience's ideas of what "classical music" can be. By showcasing some of today's leading composers and featuring prominent young artists, we will show a more diverse and engaging side to traditional chamber music.
