DPRdance is a Theater Dance company created by Dougie Robbins. Born out of a desire to see theater dance, the dancing you see onstage in musicals, in concert and non-traditional settings, DPRdance strives to bring the best of story driven theatrical dance to audiences who are unfamiliar with it.
DPRdance has had multiple public performances in its inaugural year, both inside and out of New York City. In addition to our live performances DPRdance has also produced a dance film this year, directed and choreographed by Dougie Robbins, shot by Marinelli Moving Pictures.
DPRdance is also committed to service its community, and offers a free donation based theater dance class for adult professionals once a week. This offering is grounded in the believe that for dancers class is a need and a right- not a privilege.
DPRdance is currently fundraising for an evening of theatrical jazz dance to be held at Cortland Repertory Theater (CRT). CRT has graciously donated their space to us! For a sample of what the evening will include, please see the video above. In addition to public performance, DPRdance will also be teaching free dance classes in the community, as well as a talk back after the performance, to help continue to engage the Cortland community in the arts.
