I’ve wanted to make a movie with my grandma, Hollywood Icon Ellen Burstyn, for a long time. I developed my craft in an art form we both hold dear and waited for a story to strike. In September of last year my uncle was diagnosed with fatal Glioblastoma. He considered a deliberate death and even acquired the end of life medication. A lifelong Jazz musician, he played til his fingers couldn’t any longer, and I sat with him as he passed into whatever is next. Out of the grief came ‘Dying With Grace’, a story intended to open the dialogue around Western society's oldest taboo.
