Early Music Missouri is an organization dedicated performance, education and research in the field of Early Music. EMMo's goals are two. The first is to present Early Music repertoire to the St. Louis community in professional concerts performed on period instruments by experts in the field. Second, EMMo is dedicated to offering professional Early Music performers opportunities to perform for appreciative audiences and for equitable fees. EMMo meets its educational goals by offering presentations and workshops for educational and social organizations focused on Early Music history, repertoire and appreciation. EMMo supports research activities in its promotion and use of new performing editions of Early Music repertoire as well as presenting well-researched program notes and commentary for its concerts.
EMMo offers six Main Stage concerts each season at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in St. Louis as well as outreach concerts in the city of St. Louis and in the wider region.
