Ed. Varie

Ed. Varie is a creative institution in the heart of lower Manhattan. Founded in 2009 under the guidance and support of artist and curator Karen Schaupeter, Ed. Varie has become a pillar for the contemporary art community. 

Inspired by the fundamentals of open programming, Ed. Varie has hosted hundreds of events ranging from art exhibitions, book launches, community dinners, and workshops. Ed. Varie is a continually reimagined creative space promoting up and coming international artists and designers.

Ed. Varie exhibits artists of all media and encourages the exploration of new concepts in artistic practice. With a mission to bring artists in the various stages of their careers to the large and influential market in New York and worldwide, Ed. Varie represents and mentors a wide range of artists both nationally and internationally. Ed. Varie also maintains a finely curated library and bookshop of independent and micro-niche publishers dedicated to limited editions artists monographs.

Ed. Varie has directly supported over 700 Artists, (of all Media), Independent and Self-Publishers, and Creative Projects through exhibitions and programming at the brick and mortar gallery space in Manhattan, our (previous) Los Angeles Outpost, and worldwide at art fairs and special curated projects.
