Elizabeth Burr Dance is a project based dance company based in NYC. The company was officially founded in October of 2019 and since has had the opportunity to perform locally and nationally at different dance festivals and performance venues. Our 2020 season includes performances at Smush Moves in Jersey City, Fertile Grounds in Long Island City, Movement Research in Manhattan, and WAXworks at Triskelion in Brooklyn. There are many exciting new projects in the horizons including a site specific collaborative piece soon to be performed in the historic Westbeth building, a dance film where the dancer uses plastic wrap as a means for movement and creation, and a recomposition of a longer work created by Elizabeth in 2017 about her experiences living in Jerusalem, Israel. We would like to eventually go from project-based performances to a full-time company of dancers. We would like to allow art to be the source to allow all people to feel safe, connected, enriched, and comfortable researching questions about the human condition. This can happen with your help.

- Funding the creative process of generating more material and allowing feedback forums for our audiences.
- Getting our work out there (locally, nationally, and internationally) to reach a wider audience of people
- Giving back to the community through dance/choreography workshops, summer intensives, creative discussions, and health and wellness forums
- Becoming a full-time dance company to allow our dancers and collaborators a sustainable source of income.
