The Engendered Collective is a community for survivors, advocates, and pro-feminist allies to come together in learning, transformation, and advocacy.
We do this work through our three pillars of:
(1) Engaging in knowledge-sharing and building through:
- Sharing resources and our own expertise
- Learning the tools and framework of feminism to help us better understand how systemic sexism has contributed to our experience of oppression--through our platform, group meetings, flick nights, book club, and through the podcast,
(2) Engaging in collective care and healing through:
- Our weekly survivor offerings support groups
- Our flick night and book club which addresses trauma and healing
- Sharing tools and resources to help us build knowledge and capacity
(3) Engaging in advocacy to increase abuser accountability through:
- Our coercive control working group working to criminalize coercive control of victims and children in the US
- Our efforts to expose and mobilize against dominant narratives of domestic violence and abuse through media accountability, our court watch app, and our Zamplo partnership
Through our International Coercive Control Conference, we target all three pillars of impact.
