Ensemble Le Parnasse is an early music chamber group composed of young artists from Philadelphia and New Jersey. Spurred by the relative neglect of French Baroque repertoire in this country, they believe strongly in reviving and reimagining the culture of the musical salon. Their musical homebase is the domestic music of the French and Italian high baroque - chamber cantatas, sonatas, and virtuosic solo music intended for intimate performance among friends. Now in their second season, ELP links the worlds of baroque music, opera, and theater in the Philadelphia region. Harpsichordist Cameron Khan directs the ensemble and co-founded it with soprano Willow Swidler Notte and mezzo-soprano Emma George in April 2025. Their regular series concerts are given in Philadelphia (University City) and Princeton, NJ.
