Drew Jones is designing and world building an illustrated story that’s totally out of this world! Only with and through his two hands, two eyes and wild imagination, will he be continuing to create his unique universe of extraordinary characters and creatures through writing and illustrating (penciling, inking and digital coloring) his story as a creator-owned graphic novel: LOCUS – Archetype Implosion. Drew will also be painting cover artwork for dynamic presentation. Lastly but not least, Drew is a talented sculptor who has the ability to take his 2d character designs and flesh them out as high quality 3d miniature model maquettes to enhance the presentation of his extraordinary story for the public.
This graphic novel series is an intersectional story project covering various different subject matter. The central theme of the story is environmental protection and technological sustainability as a community fights to protect itself and their home planet from corporate ecocide while a small band of heroes embark on a battle quest to thwart the devastation of intergalactic empire building and preserve the natural course of planetary healing.
Drew's goal with his project is to allegorically address pertinent social awareness and environmental issues we face in this world today, as individuals, and as a collective humanity, while offering new perspective. Drew’s plan is to use the graphic novel as hopefully a motivational, inspirational, and educational tool for creating a better world here on Earth. Completed sample pages that show the quality and consistency of Drew’s work can be seen at his personal website below as well as his full story synopsis.
