Erased investigates what happened to hundreds of patients, many of whom were children and teens at a private psychiatric hospital. Among the patients were my mother who disappeared from my life when I was a child. Little did I know that she was being held at a psychiatric hospital. This even shaped my childhood along with the other former patients whose lives were never the same after they managed to get out of the hospital.
