East Texas Fringe Theatre is a year-round, artist-led producing company bringing contemporary and experimental theatre to the Tyler/Longview corridor, a combined metro of 544,000 people currently without a company dedicated to that work. The company produces two to four productions per year, beginning with Tracy Letts's Bug in October 2026, with each production shaped by a central creative concept that determines its form, scale, and staging. East Texas Fringe Theatre exists to build the part of the regional arts ecology that doesn't yet exist — not in competition with the community and classical theatre already serving East Texas, but alongside it.
