Evangola Community Theater (ECT) is dedicated to building a live performing arts program for the Town of Evans, NY, and the Village of Angola, NY, 20 miles south of the city of Buffalo. We are currently building resources to stage live shows with the goal of producing three full productions per year. We are looking to build programming for all members of the community, serving them with both live entertainment as well as opportunities to perform or practice their art through technical design. Currently we are getting ready for our inaugural full-length production: Here We Sit by L. Don Swartz, opening Thursday, July 10, at Updyke Hall in the First Congregational United Church of Christ, 132 N. Main Street in Angola.

August 19, 2024 ECT is being driven by Steve Brachmann, who currently serves the not-for-profit organization as Manager. A group of 15 dues-paying ECT board members, including Assistant Manager Stacy Kowal and Treasurer Lisa Watkins, currently helps in planning and carrying out ECT's programming. ECT's mission in staging live productions is to produce full-length shows that display artistic excellence and provide members of the local community with quality entertainment that shines a positive light on the welcoming nature of the Evans and Angola communities.
