A Book of Days is Eve Beglarian's ongoing project to make 366 pieces of music responding to found text and accompanied by visuals: one for each day of the year. These "mulling over" pieces are made in the spirit of commonplace books and medieval books of days.
I think I've unwittingly been working on this project pretty much since I first started writing music in the early 80's. My hope is that over time, you will be able to experience this book of days not only as a quotidian and seasonal cycle, but also as a record of one life lived over how ever many years I end up being granted.
As of 1 July 2015, there are 104 pieces posted completely free for listening and viewing on the website. I hope to add another 18 in the coming year. Your donation in ANY amount will help make it possible for me to continue developing this ever-growing project.
