Who We Are
Experimental Bitch (ExB) is a fiscally-sponsored arts company committed to developing and producing badly-behaved, genre-defying new performance by emerging TGNC, queer and women artists. Join our UNSEASONING campaign and help us continue our work on
Tanya’s Lit Clit and
Bitchin’ Heals with a tax-deductible donation!
What is "Unseasoning"? ExB has chosen to focus its resources on multi-year investments in developing and premiering large theatrical shows and growing its community programming rather than producing small projects every season. Thus, ExB is “unseasoning.”
What We Do
ExB has three primary programs: production, development, and community programming. ExB commissions works within its mission that speaks to communities that are under-resourced in the theatre industry and in society more broadly. ExB collaboratively produces alongside independent artists with pre-existing developmental support. Finally, ExB creates community programs to foster civic engagement, encourage cross cultural conversation, and build community.
THE PANDEMIC
COVID-19 is still effecting Experimental Bitch in significant ways. “Prior to the Covid-19 Pandemic, the expectation that theater companies, regardless of size, produce an annual season of fully mounted work presented a big challenge. In this new age with Covid and added safety-expenses, it is nearly impossible,” says artistic director, Tatiana Baccari.
We made it through a difficult couple of years, but ExB still needs your support now more than ever. We are committed to supporting TGNC, queer and women artists. As we dive into 2023, returning to in-person and hybrid programming, will you join us in this mission?

Why We Need Your Help Now
The pandemic has made clear what we already knew at ExB: that art and artists are essential to our lives and the economy.
Donate to ensure that ExB can continue supporting artists, serving our audiences, and building TLC and Bitchin’ Heals to premiere, both in-person and virtually.
We need to raise $7,000!
This money will go toward:
- Hiring a composer to write music for Tanya’s Lit Clit
- Paying actors - TLC has a cast of 8 with 2 swings (understudies are now essential!)
- Hiring a disability consultant to ensure a more accessible and equitable workplace environment
- Compensating our core collaborators - who have been working on the TLC script since 2019!
- Paying a production team to support two engagements - a Spring residency & a public presentation in 2023
- Subsidizing our collaboration with JACK, who are providing us their space for free.
- Expanding the curatorial team to create a more expansive and specific pool of artists for the workshops of Bitchin' Heals
- Fair wages for artists leading workshops and participating in panels
- Panel participants receive a minimum of $150/per panel
- Workshop Leaders receive a minimum of $30/hour including prep time
