About

Face Down is a short film written, directed by, and starring John-Henry Hirozawa — a semi-autobiographical sibling drama exploring grief, family trauma, and the possibility of healing. The film follows two adult siblings who reunite in a New York City apartment as their estranged father nears death, forcing long-buried resentments and asymmetrical memories of a complicated childhood to the surface. Your support will help bring this intimate, personal story to life — covering production costs for a two-day shoot in New York City this summer, with the goal of reaching audiences through film festivals and a public online premiere. Your support will ensure our hard working cast and crew are paid, fed, and set up well to shoot the best possible version of this film.
