Rosette, a Richmond-based string quartet, will perform the music of composer Kevin Puts SEVEN times in SEVEN different venues during the month of October!. Because four out of seven performances are free and open to the public, we need to reach our fundraising goal in order to make this series viable.
The So Hot Right Now series brings the music of one very hot, very alive composer to Richmond audiences by performing their work multiple times, and in a variety of venues, over the course of one month.
The goal of the So Hot Right Now series is to let as many Richmonders as possible
hear a live performance of brand new music more than once,
experience it in an environment where they feel comfortable,
and at a price they can afford.
Rosette's October performances will take place in a church, a coffee shop, an art gallery, a public library, a wine bar, a private home, and a popular Richmond music venue. Four out of the seven performances are free and open to the public.

About Kevin Puts
Pulitzer Prize and Grammy®-winning composer Kevin Puts has established himself as one of America’s leading composers, gaining international acclaim for his “plush, propulsive” music (The New York Times), and described by Opera News as “a master polystylist.” He has been commissioned and performed by leading organizations around the world, including the Metropolitan Opera, Philadelphia Orchestra, Carnegie Hall, Opera Philadelphia, Minnesota Opera, and many more, and has collaborated with world-class artists such as Renée Fleming, Yo-Yo Ma, Yannick Nezet-Seguin, and Marin Alsop, among others.
Rosette will perform two of his pieces for the So Hot Right Now series: Home (2019) and Credo (2007).
