What is FORA?

FORA is a musical about a nation at a crossroads. Every day the proud island of Forafu loses its citizens to migration. Its language, Fora, is disappearing. It is no longer spoken but can be remembered, the legend says, by falling in love. 

Seventeen year old Gigi believes in Forafu’s future. Her dream is to learn Fora by finding the Hill People, the only people on the island who still speak it. But when Gigi starts to fall for Sola,  ghosts of Forafu’s past return and refuse to be forgotten.

What are we doing?

We are shooting an Electronic Press Kit (EPK) for FORA. An EPK is a short film that captures the essence of what the show is.This format gives us greater creative freedom and also allows us to reach the widest audience possible including overseas investors who would not be able to attend a live performance. Additionally, we believe FORA also has potential to be a motion picture.

 

What's the plan?

The project rolls out in three. parts.

Part 1: Rehearsal room
Cast will learn the songs and blocking for film.

Part 2: Recording studio
Cast will pre-record the tracks for the shoot.
 

Part 3: Soundstage
We will shoot scenes that will be edited into a trailer and EPK.
