Our project will raise funds for an Equity Tier 1 workshop of FORA, an award-winning musical about family, culture and country in the face of migration.
Roots. Ruin. Redemption.
FORA is the forgotten language of the island nation of Forafu and its story is told in this brand new musical. Lost over the course of many generations and rumored to hold the key to Forafu’s past and future, Fora can no longer be learned, only remembered by falling in love.
We meet Forafu in the time of its Great Migration. The island is losing its citizens and traditions to the harsh realities of a changing world and no family is untouched. As 17-year old Gigi meets Sola and falls in love for the first time, she is forced to reconcile her joy with this truth: the fate of their nation rests on the choice between unraveling the mysteries of the past or succumbing to the struggles of the present.

FORA, as many have noted, is not an ordinary musical. That is precisely why it works. In both form and music, FORA forges a new path.
FORA is already well loved by a growing population of in-the-know theatre artists and was recently awarded a generous grant from the Pipeline Arts Foundation who applauded its innovative story and gorgeous music. The Creative Team has logged years fine-tuning what has proven to be a crowd pleaser.
Momentum is on our side but we need your help! We need lovers of theater to contribute towards our Spring workshop.
Our goal of $50,000 will allow us to hire professional actors, musicians, stage managers and a director to bring the world of FORA to life.
Additionally, by donating through Fractured Atlas your contribution is tax deductible!
