In the first year of operation, The Weaving Workshop classes were held in my personal home and studio. Entering year two, I just signed a lease to move The Weaving Workshop to its own dedicated space, where I can expand our programming to include new classes and a membership program where people can use the studio as their own when classes are not in session.
Through Fiscal Sponsorship, I aim to raise immediate funds for our first year of rent at this new location by seeking donations from a Founding Circle of supporters who believe in the school's mission. This funding will cover our rent overhead cost for one year and allow us the necessary resources to focus on reinvesting revenue into our programming. It is my aim that, from our Founding Circle supporters, we can host a gathering to discuss the creation of an advisory board to help us work toward applying for 501(c)(3) status in 2027.
