Francesca Baron + Co is a space where dance is made in collaboration. It’s a commitment to cultivating, centering, and advancing embodied interpersonal connection. Baron’s primary focus is using movement as the vehicle to imbue the everyday with sensitivity, creative-action, dialogue, dance, community, and forward motion.
Foundational to Baron’s work is attention to nuance, dexterity, and rigor. Physicality of the moving body is always at the forefront and there’s care with crafting composition of bodies in space. Valuing both the kinetic and somatic experience, her work aims to capture a fleeting moment of the shared human experience, a bid for connection, here to offer feeling and a bit of wonder.
Current projects that are in need of financial support are:
- “Thin places (no noise)”, an excerpt from "NO/ISE (128 bits per second)", is a duet steeped in ideologies of meditation and the flow of energy between subject and object. To be presented at Jacob’s Pillow 2026
- “Collective Effervescence", a new quintet rooted in unity, transmutation, and freedom in expression. To premiere in Northampton, MA 2026
