Freedom Narratives: Moving Toward Collective Liberation

Freedom Narratives: Conversations about Religion, Spirituality, and Faith will be the first in a series of films about creating pathways toward collective liberation (i.e., ending racism, colorism, and oppression). Through this film, I’m planning to explore this question: What role do religion, spirituality, and faith play in ending the violence, injustice, and inequities we face today?  

As the filmmaker, I plan to speak to faith leaders, scholars, activists, organizers and everyday citizens about the history and impacts of Christian supremacy. I also plan to talk about the prophetic power of Black Liberation Theology and spiritual concepts like wholeness, oneness, and Love in the face of injustices, inequalities, and oppression. Join me on this journey.
