Freedom Narratives: Moving Toward Collective Liberation

When I initially imagined this film, I wanted to make a case for reparatory justice. I was in grad school at the time and pursuing a degree in Social Justice. I felt strongly about the need for the imperial powers that enslaved millions of people to pay up and atone. I still feel strongly about that. AND, the more I thought about the film, the more I thought about the root causes for enslavement. Religion in one of those causes. I reimagined the film to be an ode to freedom. Like. Share. Give!
