GABRIELLE SENZA is an artist, activist, curator, writer, speaker and performer who is passionate about creativity, connection and change.
She organizes socially engaged art initiatives that build bridges and inspire communities to address social, racial, environmental and economic injustice in creative and uplifting ways.
Interdisciplinary projects are often collaborative and site-specific, incorporating music, stories, movement, dance, video, installation, live drawing, and performative experiences. Signature projects include Art & Ice Cream, Incarcerated on Sunday, Walk Unafraid, Seeing Red, Invisibility Lab, and Terra Temporalis.
Whether creating time-based works in museums, paintings in the studio, or public art interventions in the street, her work involves delving deeper into the more intimate aspects of human/environmental vulnerability and resilience.
Gabrielle has exhibited in solo and traveling group shows throughout the U.S. and abroad, and has collaborated on special events and exhibitions with V-Day.org, Amnesty International, For Freedoms, and the Puffin Foundation as a featured artist.
Her work is included in the Whitney Museum of American Art, MoMA New York, Lifetime Entertainment, and numerous private collections around the world.
