Our mission is to cultivate children’s social emotional learning through community centered, socially aware, high quality theater education and performance opportunities. The results of our work are children who have learned to be brave, creative, internally motivated, and express their inner voice.
We are raising funds to continue to develop new works and performance opportunities for our community of students, alumni, and volunteers.

I started carrying the torch for Garden Players in 2003, a local theater group which has been around for over 100 years, and I am proud of our vibrant and creative community. As the director and co-writer of the show and member of the BMI Musical Theater Writing Workshop, I am excited to be working with musical director and composer Sunny Knable to bring fresh musical theater to our community.
I am writing to extend an important opportunity for you to support arts in the Forest Hills community by donating to The Garden Players’ season, which will include a concert in January and an original family musical in May. Our original musical will premiere with two shows on May 18th and two on May 19th, 2024, at The Community House of The Church-in-the-Gardens in Forest Hills.
Our annual productions involve over 120 neighborhood children and their extended families. Your support means a lot to the parents, children and audience members of our musical theater troupe. Arts education helps our children and community think deeply, laugh together, grow in bravery and confidence, and thrive.
