About

GASBAG is a coming-of-age comedy series about George Nordstrom, a lovable overtalker discovering what (and who) he really wants…at age 42. His opinionated mother, meddling neighbor, and dysfunctional coworkers at The Marcia Powell Travel Agency won't make it easy, but thanks to his can-do spirit, shoves from his loving cousin, and the liberating realization that he’s gay, George is ready to jumpstart his life.

GASBAG has the heart of Ted Lasso plus the vibe of Abbott Elementary by way of Queens, NY, baby.
Starring: Chad Kessler, Mary Bacon (Drama Desk Winner), Tina Chilip (JESSICA JONES), Mia Katigbak (Drama Desk Winner, Broadway’s UNCLE VANYA w/ Steve Carrell), Deidre Lovejoy (THE WIRE, THE BLACKLIST), Danielle Skraastad (Broadway’s APPROPRIATE), and Jackie Tohn (NOBODY WANTS THIS, GLOW).

After garnering rave reviews on both coasts at the prestigious Dances With Films festivals, we’re gearing up for Season 3 of this “whip smart” comedy that “...manages to balance outrageous comedy with tender truths (Film Daily) which is "...a  much-needed breath of fresh air” (Film Threat). The momentum is real, and now “GASBAG deserves a proper budget.” (Film Real Daily)

Your donation will help our team shoot Season 3 with better pay for cast and crew and better production values. It will also allow us to grow GASBAG on our own terms – with joy, equity, and heart. As The Hollywood Times said: “There’s an infectious enthusiasm behind Gasbag, both on-screen and among its creators.”

We had a blast making GASBAG with an “outstanding cast” (Film Reel Daily) that is “...a who’s who of NYC theatre” (Film Daily), all of whom are our brilliant friends.

No matter how many times George falls on his face as he strives to live the life he dreams of, he always gets back up on his two left feet with his “can do” pep intact. His unbreakable spirit is clearly resonating with viewers and reviewers, so our goal now, especially during the challenging times we’re living in, is to share George’s courage, and the joy we had making GASBAG, with our (growing) audience.

We’re so honored by your support, your time, and your consideration.

With Gratitude,
Lynn and Chad
