What is GhostRave and what would your donation support?
GhostRave: an immersive indigiqueer electronic opera is an interactive live music and theatre play in development by TigerBear Productions. We're workshopping it for the first time as a live experience this October at the legendary Magic Theatre at Fort Mason Center for Arts and Culture in San Francisco, and your donation would support this important step.

What happens when you attend GhostRave?
Grab a drink in the lobby bar, then come on into the heart of "Club Timesend" and join us on the dancefloor. DJ Brandon is spinning! You'll join Chayson, an indigiqueer bike messenger who's a bit of a mess, and their pals. Then, when Chayson suddenly finds themself in 1890 western Nevada, you'll follow them there and beyond. Over the next 90 minutes or so, you'll meet various characters along the way, including a Paiute horse wrangler, an indigiqueer ethnophysicist, the Four Sons of the Wind, and Coyote the Trickster, who caused all this trouble. Will Chayson ever get back? Will you follow them wherever they go? Will Coyote ever learn? And will we keep dancing? To that question, a resounding yes!

Cool! How'd GhostRave come this far?
In development since October 2022, GhostRave started taking shape through a series of weekly conversations between writer Jerome and musician Brandon and research done by them, together and separately. Brandon even camped out in the Mojave Desert for geographical inspiration! We had our first full rough draft script reading in June 2024 and now have a completed script, an original score with 18 songs, and a diverse and talented cast of 7, which includes two members of Actors' Equity, that has been learning and rehearsing this material since early August.

To date, we've been entirely self-funded, and for this workshop production, we are minimizing certain design and technical elements in order to focus on our concept, story, and music yet deliver on your expectations for a high-quality experience. The workshop costs still run above $50,000, and our advance and door sales will not cover them all. That's where you play your important part!

How can you help, then?
With your donation! Any amount is welcome, of course. With a donation amount of $100.00 or more, you'll receive two (2) admissions to any one of our workshop performances (we'll substitute another perk if you're unable to travel to SF for the run). If you donate $250.00 or more, you'll also receive one (1) TigerBear Productions t-shirt in the size of your choice. If you donate $500.00 or more, you'll also receive signed copies of the 2024 album from our workshop on cassette and on CD. If you donate $1000.00 or more, you'll receive all of the above plus an hour of in-person (location TBD) or on-Zoom drinks with Jerome and Brandon. If you donate $2500.00 or more and live within 60 miles of the Los Angeles area, you'll receive one (1) free DJ/karaoke service provided by RetroGrade Karaoke @retrogradekaraoke for your own private event (only 3 of these perks available!). If you donate $5000.00 or more, you'll receive all of the above plus a private weekend stay at the Casa Di Vetro in Palm Springs (only 3 of these perks available!).
