Gillian Walsh has worked as a choreographer within New York’s downtown experimental performance lineages for the past fifteen years. She works with dance as a thought form and mode of religious philosophical inquiry. She often produces stark and difficult formal choreographies that utilize stillness and a wide range of source materials. Her current work addresses religious temporal aesthetics, material conditions of performance, and the dancer.
