About

grooveKSQ is about percussion, education and community.  Through private lessons for young people and adults alike, live performance opportunities for those students, as well as social media outreach on educational topics, grooveKSQ strives to become a hub for followers to gather around.

The founder of grooveKSQ, Bryan Tuk, has been playing drums for over 30 years. His most formative years were spent in the percussion section Crossmen Drum and Bugle Corps under Mark Thurston and his staff. The lessons he learned there about drumming, music, responsibility, hard work, and determination serve him still to this day in all different types of environments.

Bryan attended West Chester University and studied percussion with the music department there, working on tympani, mallet instruments, orchestral percussion and music theory.

Since 1990, Bryan has taught many high school and university marching drumlines.

Bryan has created and produced arts events like the Allentown JazzFest, the Allentown FilmFest, and the KSQJazz Series.

The Bryan Tuk Complex, is a jazz/funk/rock ensemble, which takes on many forms and musical styles.
