Grow Brownsville is a community-based creative placemaking organization operating at the intersection of public art, visual media, urban agriculture, and neighborhood cultural programming in Brownsville and East New York, Brooklyn. Creative placemaking brings together artists and community members to use arts and culture as a tool for community-led change.
Each summer, our Youth Employment Program brings young people in Brownsville, Brooklyn together to learn creative and technical skills, from graphic design, hydroponics, indigenous farming practices to garden installation , culminating in a community Open House where their work is shared with neighbors, family, and friends.
Your support helps us pay youth stipends, supply art and garden materials, and keep this work free and open to the Brownsville community we serve.
