gummi reading (gummi) is a mobile reading room containing various printed matter from books to zines and more. gummi offers space for reading and gathering with others. We ask how we learn with each other and about each other through the act of reading and making.
The reading room currently maintains materials ranging across topics such as contemporary art, diasporic entanglement, independent publishing practices, curatorial research, and artist made projects. Through the roving reading room, programs, and a work-in-progress small press, gummi aims to foster deeper understanding of each other and for greater engagement with art.
