Hacemos La Ciudad (We Make the City) imagines the future of decolonized public space along the US/ Mexico border in Brownsville, Texas. The yearlong program will include movement workshops, performances, art installations, and charrettes to engage residents in the process of visioning the future of their city. Through these events participants will question how colonial ideology has informed the existing architecture and infrastructure of the city. The project culminates in a Plan de Arte Cívico del Pueblo Entero (Civic Art Plan of the People).
