November 2019 was the world premiere of the first film produced through the Fractured Atlas fundraising platform,
We Are Free Because of Harriet Tubman at The Tull Family Theater. It screened in between showings of Focus Features' film
HARRIET. The Haiku film, done in collaboration with world poet Sonia Sanchez, screened at Black Star Film Festival, Cleveland International Film Festival, and the Women's Film Festival of the Smithsonian American Art Museum in Washington D. C.
Our current project in development is an historical narrative independent series on Lewis Latimer, inventor of the long lasting carbon filament in electric light bulb. It is called --
The Unknown Tales of Lewis and Mary Latimer. Writer/Director Nadine Patterson and Producer Martha Conley have completed the script and are in pre-production.
From 2019 to 2021 HipCinema Labs served as the umbrella organization for
Sisters in Film and Television (SIFTMedia 215 Collective). We were able to raise over $288,000 for the SIFTMedia 215 Collective project and held many screening and workshops during the pandemic. SIFTMedia 215 is now it's own independent entity. If you want to support SIFT, go to their Fractured Atlas page here:

Supporters of our initiatives include private individuals, the Pennsylvania Humanities Council, and Independence Public Media Foundation, and the
