Ice House Radio exists to do what commercial radio cannot — platform underground, eclectic, and boundary-pushing music freely and without gatekeeping, while building genuine community around it. Our broadcast is free and available to anyone with an internet connection, anywhere in the world. Our doors are open to DJs at every level, from established names to first-time broadcasters.
We are now focused on growing Ice House into a more fully realized community arts organization. This means expanding our streaming infrastructure and upgrading broadcast equipment to improve reach and quality, launching DJ and audio production training classes to make the craft accessible to aspiring artists across Houston, deepening our live events programming, and developing a formal artist residency program that gives Houston-based and visiting artists a dedicated platform to create and perform. Fiscal sponsorship will allow us to pursue the grant funding necessary to realize these goals — building on what is already working and extending its reach and impact across the city.
